Please take a moment to answer the following questions. Your responses will be collated and shared at board meetings. A strategic planning process at that meeting will review your answers as we craft a focused plan for the next phase of HIPPY USA growth and expansion.

HIPPY USA Board of Trustees

  1. Visualize HIPPY USA in the future. Will our current mission still be relevant? Is there a gap between the mission and what we are doing currently?
    HIPPY programs empower parents as primary educators of their children in the home and foster parent involvement in school and community life to maximize the chances of successful early school experiences. HIPPY USA supports the development and operation of programs in communities across the United States through ongoing program development and technical assistance informed by research and public policy.
  2. Peter Drucker describes the primary customer as the one whose life is being changed, and the secondary customer(s) as the ones who need to be satisfied in order for that change to occur. Who do you see as HUSA's primary customer? Secondary customers?
  3. Today, people no longer want to know if the cause is a good one, instead they want to know: "What is being achieved?" What difference is being made in the community, in the lives of individuals? Identify the most significant difference HUSA is making in lives.
