How to Support HIPPY USA

Financial Support

HIPPY USA is supported by foundations, corporations and individuals in order to sustain its mission to serve children and families across the country. HIPPY USA offers opportunities to support a variety of projects, including development of new curriculum materials, establishing new training programs, conducting research and evaluations, establishment of new state offices, and outreach efforts to help spread the word about HIPPY, as well as support the overall operations of the national office.

If you or your organization would like to support HIPPY USA, please contact Teri Todd, Development Associate, at 501-537-7728. You can also click on Make A Donation.

In-Kind or Pro-Bono Services

Providing in-kind support or pro-bono services - items and services that would otherwise have to be purchased - is an important way of supporting the work of the national HIPPY office and the local programs. Examples include donations of computers, office furniture or supplies for events, meeting space or catering services. Pro-bono services may include legal, management consultant or training services.

If you or your organization would like to support HIPPY USA or the local programs, please contact Teri Todd, Development Associate, at 501-537-7728.

Volunteers

The HIPPY USA national office has used volunteers over the years to help with specific events, major mailings or materials preparation. Additionally, unpaid internship positions are available for specific HIPPY USA staff. If you are interested in connecting with HIPPY USA in a volunteer capacity, we invite you to contact us. This includes those of you interested in pursuing the possibility of serving on the HIPPY USA Board of Trustees, which is also a volunteer position. Please contact Lia Lent, Iterim Executive Director, at 501-537-7727.

At the local level, programs need help with services such as child care during group meetings, staffing at events and field trips, paperwork and filing, preparation of educational materials, securing speakers for staff training and group meetings, and more. If you would like to volunteer, HIPPY USA can connect you to a local HIPPY program. Please contact Angela Jones, National Program Assistant, at 501-537-7739 for further information.

The state HIPPY offices may also need assistance with paperwork, securing trainers and speakers, and with staffing at events. The states also need volunteers to serve on their State Advisory Groups and to help advocate on behalf of HIPPY in the legislature and among the public-at-large. If you would like to volunteer with a state HIPPY office, please contact that office directly.
